Hello, new friend!
I started this blog after moving to Korea with my husband, Patrick. jumpdancelove was a place to share our adventures with family and friends back home. It’s been 5+ years since then and a lot has changed.
We’ve moved across oceans and state lines a few times. We’ve had babies and lost babies. We’ve survived deployments and frequent short term separations. We’ve made amazing, lifelong friends and lost a few of those, too.
We don’t travel as much as we used to, but we’re learning to find the adventure in every day life. With small children dominating our house, things are far more adventurous than our travels ever were. Currently, we are battling my depression and anxiety and just taking things one day at a time.

PS – When I started this blog, I actually enjoyed John Updike’s A&P. Once upon a time, it seemed so real life to me. And maybe that’s just it, it’s real teenage life. Boy lusting after random girl who won’t give him the time of day? Yup. And I’m sure we’ve all been in his shoes. But these days, I really want to tell the kid to not be stupid and keep his job. Seriously, dude, you’re never going to see the girl again!
